When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.Love never fails. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm.

He said: “LORD, the God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven or on earth—you who keep your covenant of love with your servants who continue wholeheartedly in your way.

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

Masters, provide your slaves with what is right and fair, because you know that you also have a Master in heaven.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,

Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her...

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you.

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another — and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

The LORD will keep you from all harm — he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
